Kodiak Energy 'Speculative Buy' Rating Reaffirmed by Investrend Affiliate SISM Research NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--(Investrend Research Syndicate) Ernest C. Schlotter, a senior
analyst with Investrend affiliate SISM Research and a four star
analyst according StarMine, has reiterated a "Speculative Buy/4"
rating for Kodiak Energy Inc. (OTCBB: KDKN - News) and increased its 12 - 18
month target price to $6.00 - $8.00 in a report dated September 14.
According to SISM analyst Schlotter: "Kodiak's seismic and gravity surveys in EL 413 in Little Chicago, completed during Q12007, identified two definitive prospective targets, plus one other much larger structure, still needing quantification. In addition, seismic interpretation indicates a series of pools of varying sizes and pay thickness distributed throughout the project. Should these structures be distributed even partially over the block, a major reserve will have been discovered. Evaluation of the prospective resources, conducted in accordance with NI 51-101, and performed by Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd. of Calgary in August 2007, identified thirteen possible primary drill targets in the Bear Rock, estimating initial production (IP) for these wells at about 1000 Bbls/d each. Chapman calculated the risk-adjusted cumulative cash flow before income tax on the two zones to be $547M ($5.88 per share) undiscounted and $210M ($2.25/share) discounted at 10%/year. (Industry is typically valued at approximately 6x cash flow.)" Analyst Schlotter added: "The Chapman report confirms the huge reserve potential on Kodiak's EL 413 Prospect. We look forward to further seismic and gravity data, which will firm up additional drilling targets." In the meantime, Kodiak will soon begin a seismic and gravity survey in New Mexico targeting the shallow CO(2) Glorieta and Yeso Sands, with the opportunity to generate near-term cash flow, growing shareholder value."
